The thing is, if you just do stuff and nothing happens, what’s it all mean? What’s the point? Oh right, this whole thing is about self acceptance. So I should stop judging and accept? So no matter what I do, hurray for me because I’m a great guy? It’s all good? No matter how many dogs I kill I just, what, do an inventory and accept? I mean you backed your truck over your own kid and you, like, accept? What a load of crap.
‘This is my own private domicile and I will not be harassed… BITCH!
“I have shot shows where the content is not up to the look and then the show becomes about the look. I would not feel that I did this show justice or I was successful with this show if people noticed my photography too much. I don’t want them to. I want a marriage. I want the lighting and the look and the performance — I want them all to be as one. What I would really love is for someone to look at that and think that everything is exactly in the right place and in the right proportion in terms of telling a good story.”
Michael Slovis, director and photography director of “Breaking Bad”.
Chemistry is the study of matter, but I prefer to see it as the study of change. Electrons. They change their energy levels. Molecules. Molecules change their bonds. Elements. They combine and change into compounds. Well, that’s… that’s all of life, right? It’s the constant, it’s the cycle. It’s solution, dissolution, just over and over and over. It is growth, then decay, then transformation. It is fascinating, really.
